Great job Lung for keeping it real, and showing St Kilda what a true Aussie rock band really is.

LUNG
Keeping the rock vibes together at The Espy, was Melbourne’s own, Lung. Since 2012, Lung have been making hard-rock tunes for their fans, with a twist I’d like to call – old school. This 5-piece band really held their own at Rock The Bay, producing a well-known set to their half a room full of fans. Throughout the afternoon – before I got to catch Lung on the Gershwin stage, I noticed their fans at The Espy wearing a supporting band-tee. Not knowing much about the band, I thought I would drag myself along to their set, because it seemed as though many others liked them. Rocking up to the front of the stage, I immediately noticed the diverse crowd. Aged between 18-60, the hard-rock supporters of Lung were never short of a head bop or a sing-a-long to Lung’s hits off their debut EP “Parasympathy”. Singles including “No Restraint”, “The Forewarned” and “Lonely Road” kicked off their set with a bang, and got the crowd really involved. The slow plucks off the bass filled the entire room and captivated their audience. Lead singer Liam Burke had a mesmerizing voice, which lit up the entire room. Closing his eyes, he sang along to his band’s tunes which was accompanied by an incredible light show. Great job Lung for keeping it real, and showing St Kilda what a true Aussie rock band really is.
